Tifid Nebula by Funkymunkz Tifid Nebula by Funkymunkz
Another one. Some Wiki info:

The Trifid Nebula (also known as Messier 20 and NGC 6514) is an H II region located in Sagittarius. The nebula's name means "divided into three lobes". The object is a remarkable collection of open cluster, emission nebula (the lower, red portion), reflection nebula (the upper, blue portion) and dark nebula (the septation within the emission nebula causing the trifid appearance, also designated Barnard 85)

Enjoy!

I suppose you couldn't fly right up close to it, in case you got lost in the cloud, but if you flew up to about the right distance just to observe, that would be perfect.

I couldn't agree more. I would adore the opportunity to see it up close. To know if it really exists. It's also the only nebula visible in the night sky, but you need binoculars to pick it out.

I know what you mean. Just to see for yourself if they're really up there. I used to sky-watch at night. But I could never find anything. I just wasn't very good I suppose.

I'm not amazing either, I look because I like to look. The only constellation I've ever been able to pick out is Orion, but even then I wasn't sure. I was think about buying one of those proper expert telescopes, but I thought everyone would think I was a real geek if they saw that in the garden. It's not exactly a babe magnet either!

thank youuu
yes, i did it myself... my very first animation O.o
I was dead bored last night because i stayed up all night waiting for the LHC and i learned a few stuff... making crappy animations was one of them xD
i just used photoshop... cs.

You waited for the LHC? That's commitment! Well, with everyone on net spewing that the world will end today, I guess learning flash passes the time, heheh. That was pretty dark there....can't think where that came from.
I've always wanted to do animation, to make my own little cartoons and maybe if I got really good, a short film. The only that holds me back is that it looks so complicated!

hahaha i have the same reason... let's face it ollie, it's not that it's complicated for us... it's just that we're LAZY.
now regarding my "animation". you know how a regular animation of lets say... 5 seconds has hundreds of shots? yeah, well mine has 4. -.- not what I would call good.
but then again xD it was 4 in the morning and i was in need of a crappy new id ^^
